Sacral Chakra AromaYoga Workshop

Thank you to Rachel and everyone who joined us last night for our AromaYoga Workshop.

This month it was focussed on the Sacral Chakra

Rachel led a gentle meditation and yin yoga session whilst we listened to music specifically designed to activate and heal imbalances in the second chakra, which is responsible for emotions and creativity.

It is very beneficial to connect with water, and some of the pieces sounded lovely with waterfalls and waves.

The Sacral Chakra is represented by the colour orange, a happy positive colour.

I chose orange foods for our nibbles at the end of our practice; peaches, sweet potato, butternut squash and oranges.

The lovely oils Rachel used for the evening were; bergamot, marjoram, citrus bliss and lavender.

In the room diffuser we enjoyed wild orange and lavender.

AromaYoga Evening with Rachel

Rachel led a lovely evening of AromaYoga on Wednesday, the evening was focussed on our Root Chakra.

A grounding yin yoga session took place, whilst Rachel talked about the chakra and her oils.

We used oils that are really good for grounding, some delicious tree and woodland scents and the amazing frankincense.

We moved into some hatha and finished with a very relaxing shavasana under warm duvets!

The evening drew to a close with delicious nibbles and almond milk chai lattes.

AromaYoga Evening with Rachel

Last night Rachel returned for another AromaYoga class, with the lights dimmed and the diffusers giving out a lovely sweet orange smell, we started off with a relaxation practice.

Rachel spoke to us about the evening's chosen oils which included bergamot, sweet orange, fir tree and lavender.

We followed a gentle hatha practice with some gentle stretches and introduced the pigeon pose, which was new to some.

After our savasana wrapped in cosy duvets with beautiful piano music playing we enjoyed some delicious nibbles.

Rachel will be back with us in early 2019
