Christmas Aga with Sarah Whitaker

Christmas Aga comes around again so quickly!

Sarah was here today, showing us some great new ideas and recipes for Christmas, whilst showing everyone around the Aga, how to use it efficiently and effectively.

We discussed what can be made ahead and frozen for the festive period.

Talked about pans, trays, dishes

Sarah shared tips galore and answered some great questions.

Here is just a small selection of what Sarah managed to cook in just 2 hours!

Shredded stir fried brussel sprouts, delicious!

Courgette and carrot bake, perfect for vegetarians or as a side dish

Banana and pecan pudding cake

Here's the glorious slow cooked turkey, along with smoked haddock tart, chicken & apricot casserole, cauliflower souffle and everyday sides such as roast potatoes, rice, beans and gravy!

Sarah will be back at Treetops in the New Year.

Takeaway Aga with Sarah Whitaker

Sarah was back at Treetops last week for

Take-Away Aga

She showed everyone some fantastic ideas and dishes for creating delicious quick and easy meals.

Dishes included meals such as;

Hot and Sour Noodle Soup
Sticky Chinese Chicken
Chicken Tikka Masala
Pork and Ginger Stir Fry (photo above)

and a very popular Toffee and Date tart.

The kitchen smelt amazing with herbs and spices galore.

Whilst cooking all of the above (and more!) Sarah was also showing us how to use our Aga, whether it be frying, roasting, grilling, baking, simmering etc

We were shown the best ways to keep it clean and the most economical way to use it.

After the demonstration, we enjoyed a delicious tasting lunch of all the food cooked.

Aga's One Pot Wonders with Sarah Whitaker

We held a very popular class on Wednesday themed One Pot Wonders.

Sarah had some great new recipe ideas, a vibrant beetroot risotto, a delicious Thai dish, chicken casserole and a toffee and date tart to name a few.

She also passed round some great supermarket finds and shared with us her many useful Aga cooking tips.

During a demo Sarah puts together a set of recipes that show everyone how to use their Aga whether it be baking, roasting, simmering or grilling.  Ideas on how to retain the heat and how to use the Aga efficiently.

Afterwards everyone enjoys a tasting lunch of all the food cooked along with a glass of wine.

A copy of the recipes are available to take home.

Sarah will be back with us on Tuesday 10 November for Christmas Aga - Turkey and Friday 5 February for Springtime Aga.

Both classes run from 10am - 1:30pm and cost £65.

Please contact me if you would like to book place, the Christmas one is almost full.
