Wednesday was great fun with our Sunflowers Watercolour class, we haven't done Sunflowers for a years, so it great to do.
We started positioning our Sunflowers and then masked around the flowers edges.
We used acrylic texture paste to add texture on the petals!
Then we stuck small clear acrylic beads into the centres.
We had to ensure that everything was really dry before we added our wash
We use a great thick paper from St Cuthberts Mill (in Somerset) so it is able to hold alot of water without losing it's flat surface.
Here is the fantastic showcase of Sunflowers
Have a great Summer and we look forward to seeing you all in the Autumn Term.
We had a great day on Tuesday, we welcomed our ladies back from Wokingham Rock Choir for a day of painting and the celebration of two birthdays.
The painting today was from the Lake District and involved some lovely washes and the tricky drawing of boats.
Claire demonstrated her new green paints from her watercolour paint range, one of the ingredients is honey!
The party table was set, any excuse for a pink theme!
We had a delicious Chicken a la Rose for lunch, served with rice and pomegranate salad alongside french peas with pancetta.
We drank pink fizz and finished the meal with Rose Cream and Raspberry Jellies
Happy Birthday to Maggie & Claire
