Spring has Sprung Watercolour

End of term with our 10 artists, painting a Yorkshire Landscape

After drawing the scene some gentle washes were applied, followed by some masking of the daffodils (which can be seen above in blue)

Once the painting had been completed, the artists were able to rub off their masking fluid and drop in some yellows, oranges and greens to create the fresh daffodils on the banks of the river.

Lunch today was chicken with bacon, basil, tomato and goat's cheese

accompanied by a rice and lentil chopped salad with olive oil and lemon dressing.

The Yorkshire Dales Watercolour Class

Our new Watercolour term started with us painting The Yorkshire Dales

It was a crazy weather day; beautiful sunshine, huge hailstones and finally snow!

We had a lovely gallery of paintings to share at the end of the day.

Great skies and some excellent dry-stone walls.
