We held a Beginners Watercolour Class at Treetops today.
It was a wonderful day with a very talented group of ladies.
(Claire and I don't think they realise how amazingly well they did today, their paintings were great)
Claire spends time at the start of a Beginners Class talking about the different papers, brushes and paints you can use in Watercolour painting.
There is then time to experiment with paints and the water, to get the feel of them and see what they can do before getting started on the actual picture.
This is a lovely composition for a Beginners Class, pretty colours together, the pathway leading your eye into the painting, a striking door and a chance to get creative with some flowers and colour.
Everyone had a slightly different look to it, those that were brave to add dark paints, which really helps with the depth of the painting, others who weren't afraid to drop some colour into parts of their painting, ie into the path. A little touch of brickwork detail, a different door knocker, all of this adds to create a pretty picture.
We really hope to see you again, as we can't wait to see what your next painting looks like!
Keep painting!
