Christmas Cupcake Classes

Here is the availability for our Christmas Cupcake Classes:

Monday 8 November - 4 spaces

Tuesday 23 November - 1 space

I'm looking forward to these classes, we'll have some lovely Christmas smells baking in the kitchen, and some new festive sprinkles and twinkles.

We've had two really good classes this week, creativity in abundance!

Aga 1:1 Introductory Lessons

I was in Alresford this morning doing an Aga 1:1 introductory lesson.

This is a great idea if you have just moved into a house with an Aga, and just need some help in understanding the Aga, what it can do, how to get the most out of it and how to not lose the heat!

I bring various pans and trays with me, so you can see what items are useful to buy.  I also show you various Aga cookbooks that I trust and I leave you with a leaflet of top tips from cleaning the Aga to getting the best popcorn popping in your Aga!

The lesson costs £45 (with petrol/mileage charged when over 30 miles)

Autumn Watercolour - Spaces Available

I've just walked around the garden and the colours are definitely changing, the sunshine was beautiful today and really showing the bright oranges and reds.

We are going to be painting a great vibrant colourful Autumn watercolour on Thursday 21 October, just before we break for half-term.

There are spaces available, come along and give it a go!

9.30am - 3pm

£65

All your materials, a 2 course lunch, glass of wine and refreshments throughout the day are included.

Stormy Seas Watercolour

Claire returned today for a very popular class "Stormy Seas"

Waves lashing against a pier, creating spray and movement.  It was hard as we didn't use masking fluid, we had to remember where our 'lights' were and create around those areas.

At the end we used ink to mark the lights and railings, which really brought the paintings alive.

Sometimes it is lovely to just escape life for a day and try something different ......

Our next Watercolour class with spaces is Autumn Colours, a new painting for 2010, designed to capture the vibrant and jewel like colours of autumn, the class is open to any level of artist. The date is Thursday 21 October.
