A bright and beautiful day yesterday as we painted Poppies in Watercolour with Claire.
There were plenty of poppy photographs to choose from, so everyone could choose their own composition and sketch it out with pencil, ensuring that one of the poppies was the star of the painting.
Using masking fluid the artists outlined the poppies and coloured in their seed heads.
Followed by a really bright first wash full of colour, with dashes of red to be out of focus poppies in the background.
Claire teaches in a step by step style and due to our small groups you receive plenty of attention and support with your painting.
We stopped for lunch and wine, today the menu was cajun chicken with a mexican quinoa salad, served with slow roasted tomato, olives and pine nuts.
Here are some of the beautiful paintings of Poppies ...
The two ladies below were beginners and new to Treetops, look at their amazing paintings, absolutely brilliant!
Thank you to everyone for coming, it was a lovely lovely day.
